Elevating Humanity Through Cultural Diversity
Through music, poetry, drama, and the visual arts, participants express their cultural heritage while embracing the beauty of others. In this shared space, ignorance, poverty, racism, and discrimination are challenged by understanding, connection, and collaboration.
IFLC believes that by celebrating the world’s rich diversity, we elevate humanity. Every language spoken, every tradition honored, opens a new window to wonder and wisdom. Together, we build islands of peace—shaped by voices in harmony and hearts united in a common dream.
History & Australian Legacy
Celebrating Diversity and Unity Across Australia
The International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) is an annual celebration that showcases the range of linguistic talents and cultural diversity from around the world. IFLC started in 2003 in Turkey with students from 17 countries. In 2015, this event was staged worldwide in 20 countries, with more than 2000 participants from 145 different countries. In 2015 this spectacular festival was performed in Australia for the first time, with our member Sirius College’s organisation at Melbourne Convention Centre. Thereon, the festival has been hosted between Melbourne and our Sydney members Amity College and Affinity Intercultural Foundation.
Diversity in Language and Culture
The IFLC celebrates diversity, promotes inclusion, and offers students a platform to share their language and culture globally.
Connections for a Brighter Future
This event fosters friendships, respect, and inclusion, laying the foundation for a brighter, unified future.
“I saw a luminous future in my dream one night
Lights were silently pouring down everywhere
It was like a harmoniously working clock
Dark nights had gone away
A new world! A new world!
They were building a new world
Everywhere sparkled like the skies
They were building a new world.”
